PARAS'10 Colchester 2015 Postponed & New Date

We deeply regret that the PARAS'10 Colchester for 4 July has had to be postponed. The worsening forecast for high heat and humidity meant that the medical risk to the safety of runners was too high. Serving soldiers, retired military and civilians all take part on equal terms and the risk is as great to all of you. There are real dangers of heat exhaustion even for highly fit soldiers and since two-thirds of the PARAS'10 field are tabbing with 35lbs, this carries genuine risk for all. A serious casualty would be the end of the event.

We know that this is disappointing to you. Just as it is to us. You have helped us make the Colchester event a huge success with a record field entered this year. This was a hard call to make and every effort was made by a lot of hard working people to make it happen – but we cannot put you in danger.

We will now deliver a PARAS'10 Colchester on 15 November 2015. We hope you will join us.

We offer you three options:

  • Free transfer to Colchester PARAS'10 in November
  • Free transfer to Catterick on 6 September
  • Free entry transfer to Colchester 2016 event (date tbd)

We will issue booking instructions for these options as soon as possible.

All 'Double of Trouble' Colchester entrants will be honoured when you complete Catterick.

For those who have raised money for our charity or others, please let your donors know and our experience is that they will still support you and your cause.

PARAS'10 exists to give you a great experience that you want to come back to. Through our charity, it exists also to support our soldiers and families who need help. It is a unique event, has been a great success and will be again - with your support, both here and at Catterick.
