Raising Money For Fallen Friends
Major Sam McGrath (the organiser of the PARAS' 10) completed the Bob Graham Round on 7th June 2009 to raise money for Help for Heroes. The Bob Graham Round is a 72 Mile run over the highest 42 peaks in the Lake District, a route that includes 27000 ft of vertical ascent (the height of Everest). Help for Heroes is a charity that provides invaluable support to soldiers and their dependents injured or killed in the service of their country. Sam who has served with the PARAS on operations in Northern Ireland, Macedonia, Iraq & Afghanistan was supported through his Bob Graham Round by other members of The Parachute Regiment. So far Sam has raised £6,200. |
